     We saw the season finish with the 2 bottom seeded teams making it to the championship.

     Dennis Robson and yours truly won the final match 31-13 over Jason Plageman and Shawn Dorn (subbing for Greenie).  It was muttered in the crowd as the 4 some walked up the 9th fairway and onto the green that Dennis shouldered most of the work down the stretch for the winning team.  I completely agree.  In the 3 playoff matches Dennis averaged 16 points per match and bested his handicap by an average of 6 strokes.  Hard to beat that.  This is Dennis' 6th championship and DJ's 8th putting them in second and third place on the all-time championships won list.  The leader is Dick Plageman with 11.

    The scramble match pitted Ron Szymczak, Keith Tobias and Bryan Shoemaker versus Steve Miller, Dick Plageman and Ray Lake with Ron, Keith and Shoe winning the match with a respectable 5 under par.

     The leaves are beginning to fall now, but more golf will likely be played by some of us diehards.  Hunting and pecking under the leaves for what would be a great tee shot in mid-summer will be the modus operandi.  

     Congratulations to the league members on a fun season, and thank you to all of the guys who subbed.  We love our subs.
